Brooklyn Alliance for Breastfeeding Emprowerment, Inc (BABE) is a multi disciplinary alliance of health professionals and breastfeeding advocates
dedicated to the empowerment, support, education and promotion of breastfeeding. Membership is open to breastfeeding advocates from WIC, hospitals, NYCDOHMH personnel and the community.
The mission of BABE is to empower mothers and families to assert their breastfeeding rights; to be a force for breastfeeding advocacy in the Brooklyn community and participate in current Lactation Professional development in trends and practices.
We have sponsored the World Breastfeeding Week event, in conjunction with the NYCBLC, for the last 14 years at Restoration Plaza in Brooklyn.
